Hello, I have counted the back sprocket on the YM50-RE and its 55. I would like to go down 9 teeth to 46. I see so many types of back sprockets and have problems finding the right size as regards bolt holes (5) and center-area measurements. Can you help me know what to go for, when upgrading the back sprocket for the YM50-RE ?
It isnt actually a oil light it is a service light hold the right had button on the clock will turn of the light other than it telling you its time for a service it does nothing
Hello Ridingreviews team. I have just had my Oil or Oil pressure light? (on left side of dash) come on as I was riding around 35mph. I have been on top of Oil changes and have just done one about 3 weeks ago. The bike has been fine to this point - It seems to come on also even when bike is sitting and when I turn the key on, up it comes lit! (red and on constant) without even running the engine for a little. (I am hoping this is a good sign as if its doing it instant on key turn, then it can't check pressure at this state, if engine is not running, right? ..so likely a stuck oil sensor?) The bike is a Yamasaki YM50 RE. The oil is perfectly filled and still at the right level (used bike work stand to level bike right) since the 3 weeks have passed from Oil Change. I have done about 65 miles since oil change. If I do another full oil change, maybe that would provoke the oil sensor to come to life again and function correctly? as I'm suspecting that the electrics/sensor part is telling lies. (In case important) One thing I did notice a few seconds before the light came on was that the whole dash board went off for a split second as I was driving along (engine did not cut out when dash lost its power for that split second) but it was a few seconds later when the Oil Light came on...Any advice from the Ridingreviews gang would be much appreciated 😎Andy.
liquid molly engine flush..thanks for that .. ive changed the oil twice after a run to the coast each time which is 100 miles + from where i live and its still not completley cleared it . i will take your advice at the weekend and report back . thanks again;-)
so we deal with this issue by emptying the oil refill it as normal but we add liqui molly engine flush run until it is really hot then empty the oil out again and then add oil as normal that usually sorts the issue and we haven't had any issues with seizing after i hope this helps ride safe
Hi Chris . i got a question that i've asked on a few forums and still not had a difinitive answer .. I have a grom that's been standing for 6+ months as ive been unable to ride due to illness. It has mayo in the oil .Now i know what the cause of mayo is . im 64 years old and have been riding bikes since i was 14 years old allmost dayley so i think i know my way around engines ... But my question is without stripping the engine to clean everything out ( i know thats the correct way to do it ) is there a simple solution or a trade secret that i don't know about cos i'm shure thats not how a bike shop would do it ,the labour charge would cost more than the value of the bike lol . thanks for your time . ride safe ;-)
